In the next few months the AquaBuOY will make its maiden splash in the Pacific Ocean. Right now, the large pieces are taking shape and will soon be assembled into the complete unit, ready for its voyage. A number of Pacific Northwest companies are taking part in the this exciting project – SAIC, Oregon Iron Works, Elliott Bay Design Group, David Evans & Associates, alongside international companies such as Dunlop Oil & Marine, ABB and Honeywell International Inc. just to name a few. It takes a real team effort of people and companies with various skills and disciplines to come together and achieve the project objectives - an ocean installation and testing of a scaled AquaBuOY.
