Finavera Renewables is a publicly traded company (TSX-V:FVR) dedicated to the development of renewable energy resources. Our objective is to become a major renewable and green energy producer.
Finavera Renewables has laid the foundation critical to long-term success by securing 25-year contracts with the British Columbia Hydro Corporation, and will be responsible for the production of 302 MW of clean wind energy, keeping the lights on in 75,000 households. It is expected that the Chetwynd and Tumbler Ridge wind energy sites in the Peace Region will produce power more efficiently than the North American average for wind turbine generation. The economic impact over the next five years is substantial, including an $800 million infusion into the economy, job growth during the five-year construction phase and a sustainable energy source for generations to come.
Finavera is building from its success in Ireland, where it is developing a 105MW wind project with a world class wind resource. A robust pipeline of future projects is also being developed in order to increase shareholder value in the long term.
